I am the face behind the welder, and the owner and operator of LINKED+LAYERED. I’ve called Minnesota home since I was born. I grew up in Lakeville, and now live in Inver Grove Heights with my husband, JT, and our two sweet babies! My husband and I enjoyed exploring the US and moved around quite a bit as newlyweds. We’ve called California, Virginia and Texas all home for different chunks of time, but ultimately decided Minnesota was where we wanted to plant some roots and raise some kiddos! I graduated from UW-River Falls with a communications degree, but craved more creativity, so I went back to school for interior design a few years later.
I worked in interior design for a bit before having kids, and now have spent the last few years leaning into motherhood and spending my time home with these sweet tiny humans. Although motherhood brings me so much joy, I have missed having a creative outlet.. That’s when I found permanent jewelry! I love the idea of creating beautiful, one of a kind pieces that reflect each and everyone's individuality. I have always been an everyday kind of jewelry girl. I love having layered necklaces, stacked rings and mixing metals. I am one to usually leave my jewelry pieces on for as long as they let me! Clasp-less permanent jewelry feels like the cherry on top to something I've always already loved!
